Ao invés de esmolas e subsídios, que tal combater a pobreza distribuindo óculos de grau? É isso que faz a VisionSpring. A idéia deu tão certo que pesquisadores da Univeridade de Michigan estão empenhados em mensurar os impactos social e financeiro desta iniciativa do caralho.

In just the past two years, they (Vision Spring) have spun out from Scojo New York, changed their name, launched a runway capital campaign and developed a fantastic storytelling machine. In addition, they’re working closely with leading BoP academics – most notably the University of Michigan’s Ted London – to measure their social and financial impact on low-income consumers.
